Foo Fighters announce 2019 Irish dates days before Reading & Leeds Festival

The Learn to Fly rockers have confirmed European dates next summer, which take place just before the twin festivals.
Foo Fighters have announced European dates, which culminate in a gigs in Belfast and Dublin.
Dave Grohl and co will play Vital Festival in the Northern Irish capital on 19 August, before heading to Dublin's RDS Arena on 21 August two days later.

The dates are very close to Reading & Leeds, leaving fans to speculate that the Learn To Fly rockers will headline the twin festivals, which take place on the August Bank Holiday weekend (23-25 August 2019) at Richfield Avenue and Bramham Park respectively.

Meanwhile, Foo Fighters and Metallica are set to join a star-studded line-up in celebrating the life of Chris Cornell.
The Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman tragically lost his life to suicide, aged 52, in May 2017.
The event, I Am the Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell, will include performances from members of his former bands Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog, which included Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, Stone Gossard and Mike McCready.
