The Snuts wanted to "raise the bar" when it came to their new album.
2021 saw the Scottish outfit top the UK Album Charts with their debut album, W.L and on Friday 30th September, they released its follow-up Burn The Empire, which has just reached number 3 on the chart.
Talking to Radio X's John Kennedy about working on the record with producers Nathaniel "Detonate" Ledwidge and Clarence Coffee Jr., frontman Jack Cochrane explained how they wanted to do "something new".
"We're always trying to do something that raises the bar for us and just bring something new to guitar music," the rocker explained. "As a fan of guitar music my whole life, I think I've been through a lot of the stages and a lot of these kind of eras that come and go.
"I think we're always trying to create something that sounds like a new era. Something that's unique to us. Something that we can be at the forefront of."
