Jack Whitehall to host BRIT Awards 2019

The actor and comedian will host the prestigious awards ceremony for the second year running.

Jack Whitehall is returning to host the BRIT Awards 2019.

After undertaking his first ever hosting duties in 2018, the Fresh Meat star will steer next year's live show - which will take place on 20 February - through twelve award categories and several star-studded performances.

Jack Whitehall said of the news : “I am excited to be invited back to host The BRITs for a second time, I had a great time at this year’s ceremony and look forward to another exceptional night of music and entertainment.”

BRITs Chairman and Chairman & CEO of Sony Music UK and Ireland Jason Iley said: “Jack was one of the best BRITs hosts the show has seen for many years – I’m delighted he has decided to do it again next year. He was so funny and very engaging, I can’t wait to see what he will bring to the show in 2019.”

Last year's BRIT Awards saw performances from the likes of Foo Fighters, and Liam Gallagher - who paid tribute to the victims of the Manchester terror attack.
