Florence + The Machine, Arctic Monkeysand Wet Leg are among the artists to have been nominated for a 2023 GRAMMY Award.
The acts all feature in the same category for Best Alternative Music Performance with Florence Welch’s King, the Sheffield rockers’ There’d Better Be A Mirrorball and the Isle of Wight duo’s Chaise Longue being recognised.
Elsewhere in the category are nods for Big Thief's Certainty and Yeah Yeah Yeahs’Spitting Off The Edge Of The World featuring Perfume Genius.
Speaking to Radio X about the lead track off their seventh studio album, The Car, Alex Turner revealed There'd Better Be A Mirrorball kickstarted the whole record.
Quizzed if the cinematic ballad set the tone for the rest of the album, the rocker told Radio X's John Kenned : "I think so. Even just the intro does that for me. I think that was really the cue for everything that came after that within that song but also everything else on the record."
He added: "Everything else on the album had to be able to hang out with Mirrorball. That was that."
Joking about the track's rather wordy and cryptic title, Turner said: "It was almost going to be, Their Bedding In A Mirrorball, which is not without merit... Is it too late [to change it]?"
Elsewhere, Beyonce, Adele and Kendrick Lamar are dominating the nominations for the GRAMMY Awards.
Both Beyonce and Adele ave been nominated for album of the year for their 30 and Renaissance albums respectively.
Overall, Beyonce has picked up the most nominations, leading the pack with nine. Kendrick Lamar is this year's second biggest nominee, with eight nods for his fourth album Mr Morale and the Big Steppers.
Adele and country star Brandi Carli tie with seven nominations each. See the full list of GRAMMY nominations below.
