Jamie Lee Curtis on why she's great at starring in horror films

The star of Halloween Ends also reveals why she had to have a guard in the theatre when she first saw the movie...

Jamie Lee Curtis was Chris Moyles' very special guest this morning (13th October).

She's the star of the latest entry in the Michael Myers franchise, Halloween Ends, which hits cinemas Friday 14th October.

Unfortunately, Chris has a confession to make to Jamie: "I really don't like horror films."

She replied: You and me both. You think I'm lying? You don't understand how much I don't like them!

"Even with animated films, my friends will say, Jamie you can't see it. I'm like, why? It's too scary, they say."

She explained: "That's ultimately that's why I'm good in scary things, because I'm naturally afraid. Whatever I do, I do. I have no preconceived idea."

Halloween Ends - The Final Trailer

Chris saw Halloween Ends at a preview showing in London and was a little disturbed by some of the things he saw.

Jamie also saw the film for the first time alone - well, apart from a security guard.

She said: "They had to have a guard in the theatre, so I wouldn't pirate my own movie!

"But I also had the volume control, so when it got scary I turned the volume down and pointed my head away. True story! I swear on the X on your Radio X logo, I'm telling you!

"The great part of it was that I got to hear his reaction - he has to watch it! So I'm turning my head and turning the volume down and I'm hearing him react to the same bits that you reacted to, except he was very vocal. It was funny!"

Halloween Ends is in cinemas 14th October.
